Bespoke concept
Bespoke.
The freedom
of form.
No catalog.
No rules.
Just an idea.
And execution.
The unleashing of the possible.
Bespoke starts where others stop: on a greenfield site. With a blank sheet of paper. With an idea that may not yet have a name, but is already taking up space.
Gehringer Bespoke is not a product.
It is a process.
A joint expedition into the world of what could be. Unlimited in thought and material. Radical in its demands. Perfect craftsmanship.
A feeling. A thought. A sketch on the back of a napkin: that's all it takes. We listen, ask questions, think along. And put down on paper what was previously just intuition.
From there, we bring it to reality. With the knowledge of centuries and the aspirations of tomorrow.
The idea behind Bespoke.
It all begins with the inkling of an idea.
Bespoke is an invitation to imagine everything.
A table that silently transforms into a workstation. A cabinet that only reacts to light. Wall cladding that can make a sound. A library with hidden space. A topographical map of your surroundings on a sideboard.
An idea that does not yet have a language but already has weight, emotion, feeling.
Gehringer is a partner and translator. We hear what is not said. We see what's between the lines. And develop a piece of furniture, an object, a system that has never been built like this before.
Which is not possible,
must first be invented.
What is possible,
becomes reality with us.
Because with Bespoke, there are no limits.
No standard dimensions.
None "That is not possible."
There is only the question: What if?
What already was.
What's still to come.
The range of Gehringer Bespoke is reflected in what has already been created. And in what is still conceivable.
A church that was given a new role as a space. A turbine made of solid wood that amazed an entire audience. A kitchen block that appears to float. An artistically clad loudspeaker that does not reveal itself. A hatch between the kitchen and dining room that is more than just an opening - it is an architectural promise.
Bespoke has many forms. Some stand quietly in the room. Others demand attention. But they all tell a story: Nothing was copied here. Something was built here that didn't exist before.
The realization of the invisible.
Feeling as form.
Whether a recessed hob that opens silently. A record player that sinks into the furniture. A bar compartment that opens with a gentle gesture. A desk that transforms into a blackboard. Or a wall panel that becomes storage space when you understand it.
Technology as a silent partner. It is there when you need it. Invisible when you're not looking for it. Not a show, not an end in itself - but the silent backbone of great ideas.
If it is conceivable, it is feasible.
And if it doesn't exist yet, we'll build it.
Inspiration is no coincidence.
Uniqueness has no examples.
Thoughts no printer.Â
That's why Bespoke doesn't start with a solution, but with conversations.
Johannes and Matthias Gehringer combine decades of material and processing expertise with architectural thinking and a keen sense of what is possible. And what could be possible.
Some call it consulting.
We call it inspiration.
Because Bespoke also means: the customer decides when he wants to lead and when he allows himself to be led. When he wants to think ahead or when he simply wants to let an idea mature.
Gehringer offers the space for all this. For free thoughts. For great visions. And for details that become icons.
Thinking without borders. Precisely built.
Thoughts need space. Ideas sometimes need images.
Especially with Gehringer Bespoke, there is often nothing comparable.
No template. No similar project.
That is not a defect. It is the nature of the special.
That's why we at Gehringer draw on a pool of AI-generated imagery. Not to anticipate the result. But to make thoughts visible that would otherwise be difficult to share.
To give impulses, to think ahead, to specify, to jump ahead. AI is not an integral part of every project. It is an inspirational tool when it is needed. When images are missing. When words are not enough. When ideas that don't yet have a face need to be grasped.
We don't use AI to illustrate standards. But to Unique pieces to explore.
Because thoughts don't have printers.
But sometimes you need a picture to develop further.
Our thoughts behind Bespoke.
"The first step is often a word. Or a silence."
Johannes Gehringer"Bespoke thrives on the fact that we really listen. Not just to dimensions, functions or budgets. But to what people really need. To what they may not yet be able to put into words themselves.Â
Bespoke often doesn't start with certainty. But rather with an idea that is not yet bold enough. With a wish that goes against the norm. And that's exactly what excites me: creating something together that's not in the catalog, that no one else has. A room, an object, a piece of furniture that is so personal that it only feels right here and nowhere else."
"Individuality is not a luxury. It is a form of truth."
Matthias Gehringer
"I don't believe in guidelines. I believe in curiosity. In the courage to think things differently. Bespoke is not only the most radical concept for me, it is the most beautiful invitation to redefine design. No repetition. No adapting. But the fulfillment of wishes that didn't exist before.
And inventing solutions that were never obvious. What we build should not just fit. It should inspire. And remain so."
Rooms.
Objects.
Possibilities.
Classic categories fall short when it comes to product presentation at Bespoke. Bespoke is not defined by products, but by character, effect and context. While Stealth works through radical form and Modularis through structural repeatability, Bespoke lives from the individual case. From the dialog between idea, space and function.
Bespoke is not a catalog. It is an offer to talk. A thinking space in which ideas become objects. And spaces become character. So that you don't have to explain what you're looking for. Instead, you can show what you mean.
Here are a few thoughts to get you started:
Thinking from the location
A room is not empty until it is furnished. A room is empty when it has no idea.
Bespoke often begins with a place that wants to be more. A church that takes on a new role. A foyer that not only welcomes, but shapes. We don't think in terms of furniture, but in terms of the meaning the space can have. What is to be created there results from the conversation. And from the place itself.
Individual pieces with function
Some furniture is not for sitting on. But to stay.
There are ideas that have no name. A table that never looks the same because it is constantly changing. A sideboard that plays music without visibly displaying technology. For us, these are not special requests. They are moments when design pays off.
Technology as a silent partner
We like it when technology works but doesn't show itself.
Invisible pull-outs. Loading surfaces under wood. Movement without engine noise. When technology is present but not conspicuous, space is created for peace and quiet. For us, this is not a trick. It is the result of precision. And a sign of respect for the space.
Material that speaks
If you work with wood long enough, you will eventually listen.
Bog oak that ages to a deep black. Bronze that changes. Fabrics that offer resistance. Each material has its own rhythm. At Bespoke, we don't choose the most striking, but the most meaningful. And if the material is good, the furniture tells its own story.
When series is not enough
A hotel room can be built a hundred times and still not be repeated.
There are places where repetition does not equal sameness. A hotel where every room has its own atmosphere. Furnishings that don't "work", but stay. Bespoke complements Modularis when it comes to something special. Where repetition cannot solve everything.
From conversation to idea
Most projects don't start with a draft. But with a sentence.
"I don't know exactly what it is yet." We hear that a lot. And that's a really good thing. Because Bespoke is not a style. It is a process. We listen, make initial sketches, think along with you. Not everything is created on the drawing board. Some things are created in silence. And is then built.
Wood in its most beautiful form
Every piece of furniture begins with the selection of the perfect wood. Gehringer works exclusively with fine hardwoods: from Rustic Oak and Rare Bog Oak, to deep, warm Walnut.
Every piece of wood tells its own story, shaped by time, climate, and origin. We don't just work with wood. We understand it. We respect its unique characteristics, enhance its beauty, and with it create furniture that will last for generations.
Wood waiting for its moment
Some materials can simply be ordered. Wood is not one of them. It is a natural heritage, shaped by time, climate, and environment. At Gehringer, we don't seek the exotic for rarity´s sake. We are simply in search of the best quality.
At specialized markets and auctions, we procure exceptional logs whose grain, structure and history are unparalleled. Wood that has patience. Wood that needs time.
It´s waiting for its moment. For the right design. For the right project. In our inventory, it continues to mature, developing its perfection. And when its time comes, it finds its destiny. In a piece of furniture made to last for generations.
Three design and thinking concepts
We know that there are people looking for uncompromising quality and absolute individuality.
We have created three options for them:
The Stealth Line
Stealth is not a collection, not a finished product. It is a design philosophy. An approach that pushes the boundaries of what is possible and sets new standards. Inspired by aviation, architecture and the radical nature of automotive design, furniture is created here that is not just objects, but statements.
For people who don't want just any table, but their table. Who are not looking for something prefabricated, but for an idea that connects with their space, their life, their ideas. Stealth means innovation in workmanship, materials and precision. Uncompromising, powerful, unique.
The Modularis Concept
Unlimited individuality, down to the last detail. Modularis is not a rigid concept. It is the art of scalability. A system that combines maximum personalization with efficient production. No two pieces of furniture are the same, yet they all follow a common idea: maximum adaptability without compromising on design, quality and perfection in craftsmanship.
The Modularis Concept is for projects that extend beyond the individual piece. For hotels, restaurants, and companies. For rooms that need character while preserving functionality. Modularis offers freedom in design, precision in implementation and the opportunity to bring your vision into series production. Without standardized solutions. With maximum repeatability.
Gehringer Bespoke
No limits. Only possibilities. Gehringer Bespoke is craftsmanship in its purest form: No grid. No specifications. Just your idea and our realization of it. Under Gehringer Bespoke, pieces are created that are as unique as the individuals for whom they are made.
From tables that can encapsulate the special story of a tree to cabinets that blend seamlessly into the architectural surroundings; or perhaps a room solution that has never before been thought of: Bespoke delivers it with uncompromising individuality. We listen, plan and then shape your vision into a perpetual masterpiece.
Three Paths to Perfection. Handcrafted in Upper Franconia. Guided by innovation.
We incorporate our expertise into three design concepts
With one shared goal:

The Stealth Line

2.
The Modularis Concept
Flexible, well thought-out, scalable. Modularis enables customized solutions that can be efficiently duplicated - perfect for hotels, companies and sophisticated architectural projects. Individuality that can be multiplied.
3.
Gehringer Bespoke
We are more than carpenters.
We are Gehringer.
This means that we don't make furniture for the masses. We make furniture for individualists. For people who know that true quality lies not in fast consumption, but in genuine craftsmanship. For people who see a table not just as a table, but as a piece of identity.
And that is precisely why we remain independent. We cut out the middlemen and go directly to the people who understand and appreciate our craft. We don't want to please everyone. We want to inspire the right people.
We are not your typical furniture store. We don´t make furniture to simply fill space. We make furniture for those searching for something that endures, that inspires, and that evolves with you. If this is you, then you have come to the right place.
